The Present Has a Direction

In much of Folded Present, the fold gathers the image toward a center—looping, pooling, holding. Here the present behaves differently: it travels. It arrives from the edge like a late signal, then thins as it crosses, leaving a faint wake of recalibration.

Pixels bleed alive,
fractured light refuses rest,
chaos finds its shape.

Buffer

The granular field reads like accumulated “nows,” stacked too closely to separate. Then a cleaner band interrupts—like a buffer cleared mid-stream. The work holds the instant when continuity breaks and the eye starts counting time again.

Signal Cut never calms. It is energy, constantly unsettled, impossible to fix. A reminder that transformation is never tidy.

Afterimage

Around the shift, the surface keeps its residue—specks, scatter, particulate echoes. That’s the folded part: the past doesn’t vanish, it stays active. The new state doesn’t erase the old; it overlays it, imperfectly, and you feel the seam.
